Geospatial Framework and Statistical Work Area Update

Rembang, August 2025 — The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Rembang Regency is conducting an update of the Geospatial Framework and Statistical Work Area (Wilkerstat) as part of the preparation for the 2026 Economic Census. This activity is being carried out throughout the month of August, from August 1 to 31, 2025.

The main objectives of this update are to revise the boundaries of statistical work areas at the neighborhood (RT) or local area (SLS) level, ensure that all business buildings and residences are accurately recorded, and perform geotagging based on real field conditions. Strategic economic zones such as markets and trade centers are also targeted for geotagging as areas of economic concentration.

This effort is crucial to ensure the 2026 Economic Census is implemented accurately, efficiently, and effectively.
