February 20, 2018 | BPS Activities
BPS Kabupaten Rembang and also other Kab / Kota BPS in Selindo in March 2018 will carry out the routine agenda of the social statistics section, SUSENAS (National Socioeconomic Survey). Susenas is a routine survey of the most awaited results by the government because it produces indicators of community welfare, namely the poverty rate. Therefore, this survey requires careful preparation for the implementation of the work well. Beginning the preparation of field operations by collecting price range data aimed at obtaining minimum and maximum price ranges from several food commodities (such as rice, fish, vegetables, etc.) and non-food (clothing, fuel, rental estimates, etc.) at where the sample is located. Price range data collection started from February 2-20, 2018 and data collection officers were conducted by field supervisor (PMS). Respondents targeted for this activity are traditional market traders, shops, food stalls, traveling traders, minimarkets / supermarkets, even information from households of sample census blocks in the Susenas sample area. The markets are the location of the survey such as Pasar Rembang, Kaliori Market, Sluke Market, Kragan Market and others. With the unfriendly weather (remembering the rainy season), with the 'tarnish' added with the smell of the fish market, it does not dampen the spirit of my supervisors to go directly to respondents to get information on commodity prices. Data generated from Price Range questionnaires (RH) is used in data processing (data entry) to avoid the occurrence of human error in data processing susenas later. Supervisors also perform the conversion of foodstuffs to facilitate the enumeration in registering 'amounts' of household consumption to a commodity commonly purchased or consumed with units not in accordance with standard units. Eg purchase (for consumption) vegetable spinach, kale. At the merchant level, they usually sell at bundle prices, whereas in the RH questionnaire, the units for the vegetable commodities (spinach, kale) use kg units. Likewise for other commodities whose unit price is not in accordance with the market, it must be done unit price conversion. With accurate and qualified commodity price data, it is expected that the data and generated indicators will be able to describe the actual condition of Rembang.
