April 6, 2018 | BPS Activities
This year, in the midst of ongoing activities of Area Sampling Framework (KSA) in order to calculate the extent of rice crops and also tile activities to measure the productivity of rice crops, which also became a National Priority as the Government Work Plan (RKP) 2018, BPS also implemented Rice-Paddy Conversion Survey (SKGB) conducted at Selindo in order to support the national program on food security. These three activities are an important part in order to estimate rice production. So the resultant calculation between KSA, tiling, and SKGB will result in estimation of national and regional rice production. Well ... alhamdulilah perhaps all three are quite draining and energy, heavy if it is felt heavy, but it is all we are grateful for the work we receive. Not necessarily people out there easily get a job, many people who have not had the opportunity to get a job, they are competing to get a job by entering a job application full of competition with fellow job seekers. "Love your work, then your work will love you". Perhaps this impressed me more, but it is true that when we love our work, it will provide the best for us and even for our families. Jobs that we think are heavy, do not regard as a burden, but suppose as a trust to obtain quality data, because our task in the field is as a data collector in the field, then we must do with full responsibility and professional. In the middle of the dense work of BPS today where the many jobs that must be completed with a schedule that almost simultaneously and want all fast first, perhaps this makes my friends dizzy, which job should be lest ... that is important always keep stamina health condition, enough rest, and manage the time as well as possible. Do priority work, enjoy and do with a happy heart (so avoid the stress). Insha Allah work will be fine, because by arranging the time properly, then our mind will be fresh and bekerjapun be optimal. Remember that we are not robots. We are human beings with limited power. All the work that has become our duty and responsibility we must carry out with gratitude, sincerity and do not complain. Because by complaining what we do certainly will produce something that is not optimal. In Kabupaten Rembang, the main samples of SKGB phase I are 125 rian farms and reserve samples are 125 ruta farms. Of the 125 samples were undertaken by field officers (KSK / Staff) on a team basis. Of the 14 sub-districts in Rembang district, only 1 sub-district is not affected by the sample of Sluke sub-district, while the most samples are in Sumber sub-district, which is 28 samples of farm households. Supervision of field supervisors was conducted to conduct supervision at the beginning of the enumeration to minimize the mistakes of officers either in conducting interviews with respondents, in doing weighing of paddy production or in measuring the water content of paddy. The data on the field turns out to be a bit sequential stage where the officer must check the harvest time, then the officer weighs and measures the water content (at harvest), then the officer measures the thickness of grain drying and finally the officer has to weigh and measure the water content (when the grain is dry) ... not easy is not the pendataanya ?? ... but with high spirits and full of responsibility for the burden of work then all must be implemented with sincerity. God willing ultimately will produce good benefits and blessings for us all. Finally, the successful implementation of each survey is determined by the seriousness and persistence of the officers in the field. Hopefully the implementation of SKGB data collection in Rembang Regency runs smoothly, finished on time and produces quality data output that is useful for government policy so that portrait in the field can be really seen from the data produced. (SR) SKGB aims to obtain conversion rates from Unhulled Rice Harvest (GKP) to Grain Dried Milled (GKG) and from GKG to the most accurate and up to date rice. For information, this conversion rate is one of the important items used as the basis for calculating national rice and rice production in addition to harvested area and productivity. SKGB itself is done in two stages namely at the farm level and at the milling level. At the farm level, a survey was conducted to see the conversion value of Harvest Dry Harvest (GKP) to Dry Mill (GKG). While at the grinding level, the survey was conducted to see the conversion value of Unhusked Milled Grain to Rice. The final estuary is to see the rendemen. Technically the survey was conducted in two stages: March-April (representing rainy season) and June-August (representing dry season). This is done by measuring the water content and weight of each stage ie GKP, GKG and Rice.
