Come Healthy, Come on Blood Donation !!

Back BPS Rembang District held a blood donor event. The activity which is the routine agenda of BPS in Rembang Regency is held every three months. This activity is a collaboration between BPS of Rembang Regency and PMI of Rembang Regency.
This activity is one manifestation of social care for others and concern in helping the availability of blood for the people in Rembang Regency. The main objective of this activity is in addition to helping to increase blood availability at PMI as well as encouraging healthy lifestyles for people to be healthy especially if they can donate their blood regularly.
While donating blood, a person can also check his health condition at the same time. But actually blood donors are not only beneficial to others but also beneficial to our bodies. When donating blood, blood cells will be replaced with new blood cells. It will also make our body healthy or the donor's body. This blood donor activity was held on Friday, August 31 2018 in the BPS office of Rembang Regency and was attended by donors from BPS staff of Rembang Regency who were willing to donate their blood. The number of blood donors this time increased compared to before. This should be appreciated because of the enthusiasm of friends who want to donate their blood. This activity lasted for about 2 hours guided by 3 officers from PMI Rembang Regency. Participants who have contributed to donating their blood received a package of soft food / drinks and vitamins for physical recovery. Do not miss the Head of BS Rembang District, Amirudin, S.Si, MMSI also participated in donating blood.
The results of the blood donation activity will certainly add to the blood supply stock at PMI which will be distributed to PMI to those who need blood. One of them is to the Hospital in Rembang Regency. Before being distributed, all donor blood received by PMI was immediately checked / examined through blood testing techniques to determine whether there was contamination of infectious diseases that could harm transfusion recipient patients. Some types of infectious diseases are Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV and syphilis (venereal disease). If the blood check / examination is identified as containing an infectious disease, it is immediately removed for further destruction in the incineraror (medical waste burning machine). Hopefully in the future the BPS of Rembang Regency will still be able to carry out this blood donor activity and hope that the donor will increase again. Come on blood donation !! With blood donors besides healthy the body with renewable blood as well as a drop of healthy blood can save human life. (SR)
