Rembang Regency BPS and other BPS districts / cities throughout Indonesia in March 2020 carry out a routine agenda of the social statistics section, the National Socio-Economic Survey (SUSENAS). Susenas is a routine survey that is the most awaited result by the government because it produces indicators of people's welfare, namely poverty rates. Therefore this survey requires careful preparation so that the implementation goes well.
Starting preparations for field implementation, one of the efforts carried out by BPS is to collect data on price ranges aimed at obtaining the minimum and maximum price ranges of some food commodities (such as rice, fish, vegetables and other foodstuffs) and non-food items (such as clothing, fuel , estimated house rent, etc.) where the sample is located.
Respondents who were the target of this activity were traders in traditional markets, shops, food stalls, traveling vendors, minimarkets / supermarkets. The markets which are the location of the survey of this Price Range are the emerging markets, the Kaliori market, the Lasem market, the Sulang market, the sluke market, the Kragan market and others.
In addition to asking for prices, supervisors also convert food ingredients to facilitate census of food commodities with units that are not in accordance with standard units. With accurate commodity price data, it is expected that the March 2020 Susenas enumeration activities will produce quality data. (jq)
