Batik: a timeless national treasure
You know, #SahabatData?
Since October 2, 2009, UNESCO has designated Indonesian Batik as a Humanitarian Heritage for Oral and Intangible Culture. Therefore, every October 2 in Indonesia is celebrated as National Batik Day.
Batik is one of the treasures of the Indonesian nation which is still sustainable today. Motifs / patterns, colors and styles of batik clothing also vary.
Not only are "older" people appropriate to wear, young people are also beautiful wearing them. Batik is not just a piece of cloth for clothing, but culture, identity, and national identity.
Happy National Batik Day #SahabatData! You are proud to wear batik, right?
