HDI for Rembang Regency 2022 Improves, Reaches 71.00

Recently, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) released several indicators. One of them is the Human Development Index (IPM) 2022. The Human Development Index or commonly abbreviated as HDI is an indicator that can be used to measure the government's success in developing people's quality of life, such as health, education and income.

The HDI for Rembang Regency in 2022 reached 71.00, an increase of 0.57 points or a growth of 0.81 percent compared to the 2021 achievement of 70.43. The HDI of Rembang Regency in 2022 will increase due to an increase in all its constituent components.

In terms of education, children in Rembang Regency who are aged 7 years and over, in 2022, have the hope of enjoying 12.13 years of education or nearly the equivalent of the length of time it takes to complete high school or Diploma I level education. -The average length of schooling for residents aged 25 years and over has also increased by 0.11 years, from 7.30 years to 7.41 years in 2022.

From a health standpoint, babies in Rembang Regency born in 2022 have the hope of being able to live up to 74.68 years, 0.07 years longer than those born in the previous year of 74.61 years.

Meanwhile, in the dimension of a decent standard of living, the real expenditure per capita (adjusted) for the people of Rembang Regency in 2022 will reach IDR 10.937 million per year. This figure increased 3.97 percent compared to the previous year Rp. 10.519 million per year. This condition shows that after more than two years of the COVID-19 pandemic hitting Rembang Regency, people's real per capita spending is starting to increase again.
