For the general public daily basic needs is very important. The stability of prices of basic commodities such as rice, meat, onions, cooking oil, and other very necessary. This is because the economic condition of our society which mostly still classified at the lower economic level.
Price volatility chili, onion, and rice that occurred in recent years shows the unpreparedness we anticipate price increases were not normal. For a little group of these conditions are very favorable, but for the general public who are the main consumers of these commodities would be very burdensome.
In an effort to help the community to secure stable prices the government is trying to capture information ketrsediaan a staple in the community through Survey Consumption Basic Materials (VKBP) carried out by the Central Bureau of Statistics. With the information obtained from this survey expected the government to take the appropriate policies to anticipate the surge in price volatility. Thus the prices of basic needs in the market tend to be stable.
For Rembang district, Survey Consumption Basic Materials was conducted in nine districts with the number of staff of six people, consisting of two field inspectors and four field enumerators. The survey begins with the listing or the entire household data collection in selected census block which took place on April 6 to 30, 2015. Block census used the 2000 census block.
This listing also identify activities to households in which there are efforts to eat and drink around the provider. It also register certain manufacturing industry businesses, restaurant / dining, catering, food stalls, eating shops, taverns, and café. Therefore this survey deals with staples, then the survey also identifies materials used for food commodities. Among the basic materials used rice, corn, soybeans, beef, chicken, onion, garlic, chili, wheat flour, cooking oil, sugar, and salt. Survey Consumption Basic Materials for the enumeration of selected households will be implemented on June 1 till July 3, 2015.
