Training of Nusantara Tourist Survey Officers (Wisnus) 2018

BPS Kabupaten Rembang held a training officer of Nusantara Tourist Survey (Wisnus) in 2018 dated July 2, 2018 at the BPS Hall of Rembang Regency.
Kasi Distribution Statistics, Winarso, SST as the person in charge of the activities said that this year's Wisnus survey is a continuation of the 2017 Wisnus survey.
This survey aims to collect data on the characteristics of Nusantara Tourists (Wisnus) or Indonesians traveling in the Indonesian territory in general and in particular to obtain information / data on how many tourists enter or arrive in Rembang Regency as well as other information related to domestic travel. Besides that also to know the pattern of travel and the average expenditure / consumption of wisnus.
This training aims to provide understanding to field officers related to the purpose of the activities and concepts used so that the data produced can reflect the portrait of Nusantara Tourists.
The training, which was attended by staff and statistical partners, was opened by BPS Head of Rembang Regency, Amirudin, S.Si, MMSI. In his speech he conveyed, Tourist Nusantara (Wisnus) 2018 is a collaborative activity between BPS with the Ministry of Tourism. Previously, Wisnus data collection was covered in the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas), but since 2016 the Ministry of Tourism and BPS have collaborated to perform an exclusive data collection on Wisnus's profile and the number of Indonesians traveling.
He hopes that the participants take the training seriously, can really understand the material taught by the instructor, so that the material or concept of the definition delivered by the instructor can be absorbed maximally, so that in the field later the officer can communicate with the respondent so that the respondent can provide the data with true and candid.
He also advised the officers that at the time of collecting data in the field do not let anyone manipulate the data (moral hazard), and the leadership will provide punishment if the officer found the moral hazard.
Before opening the training, 4 (four) terms of leadership message to the officer is that officers understand the theory, comply with the schedule that has been determined, do the data collection by meeting the respondents directly and still maintain the quality of the data generated.
The training is guided by the Regional Instructor, Winarso, SST which is the Head of Distribution Statistics of BPS Regency of Rembang. Hopefully Wisnus 2018 training in Rembang Regency runs smoothly and with the materials, hope officers can carry out data collection in the field in accordance with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
