Susenas Household Update March 2020

In the midst of the dense socialization activities of the 2020 Population Census, the BPS rutinan survey activities should not be ignored, however they must continue to be carried out according to a predetermined schedule. The March 2020 Susenas activity has begun. One of the stages of the activity before the sample household data collection stage is updating / updating the household.

Household updating is used as a basis for sampling. The update schedule itself starts from February 18-27, 2020. This update aims to provide an overview of the number of households in one census block. Updates are carried out by door to door to ask / check the whereabouts of the household (whether found, moved out / in the BS, replace the head of the household joining with other households, not found and new households). In addition to asking about the presence of households also asked the number of children under five and the existence of 9 months pregnant women.

When updating in the field, the officers also conducted SP2020 socialization to residents whose territory was affected by this Susenas sample. Here the officer can become a 2020 Population Census Agent, inviting residents to participate in the success of SP2020 by informing them about the Online Population Census (SP Online). Residents can update their family population data online through the website https://sensus.bps.go.id on February 15-March 31, 2020.

For residents who have not / are not listed on SP Online can receive and help census officers during the Population Census Interview (SP Interview) in July 2020. (jq)
