Data Collection on Special Survey for Quarterly Production Indicator II

July 10, 2020 | BPS Activities

Economic growth is one economic indicator that is the basis for consideration of decision making. Decisions refer closely to policy. Policies that are not misdirected or targeted will boost economic growth. Economic growth indicates changes in better economic conditions and the success of economic development. In stating economic growth, the Central Statistics Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BPS-RI) uses Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the national or Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) for provinces / districts / cities. The preparation of GDP / GRDP requires basic and supporting data from each economic activity. The data required include production data (production indicators) and price data (price indicators).

The purpose of this survey is to calculate quarterly GRDP at the district / city level. This time it enters the second quarter of 2020, the data collection of which was carried out in early July, the same as the schedule for other quarterly balance surveys.

In Rembang Regency, there were 17 samples taken by all KSK. Each officer works 1-3 samples. Officers in the field of data collection continue to implement health protocols to prevent the spread of covid-19 which has not ended yet. The implementation schedule starts on 1-10 July 2020.

It is expected that this activity can run smoothly, finished on time so that the results can be used as soon as possible to calculate quarterly GRDP in the Regency / City. (JQ)
