Data Collection of the Household Survey Special Survey (SKKRT) Quarter II

June 26, 2020 | BPS Activities

The Special Household Consumption Survey (SKKRT) is one of the routine surveys conducted by BPS and conducted by the nerwilis section. This survey is intended to determine quarterly household consumption patterns. Previously, household consumption expenditure (PKRT) was calculated based on Susenas consumption data. However, since 2015 Susenas data has been collected semi-annually, so another survey is needed that is more comprehensive and can be collected quarterly. The SKKRT has been conducted since 2007 and is carried out on a quarterly basis each year. The SKKRT sample from quarter I - IV is a panel. If the household moves or is not found, it is permissible to change samples while in the same income group. The SKKRT is presented to support the calculation of the quarterly household consumption component of Gross Domestic Product and Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). The objectives of the SKKRT are: 1. Look at quarterly household consumption patterns. 2. Obtain information on household consumption indicators (food and non-food) every quarter. 3. Calculate the growth of household consumption every quarter in order to calculate the value of quarterly Gross Domestic Product and Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). In Rembang District, there were 30 SKKRT samples. There are 14 KSK officers as field enumerators and 1 staff as field supervisor. Each enumerator works on 2-3 household samples with an implementation schedule of 20-26 June 2020. Every field activity does not run perfectly. Constraints in the field sometimes become its own obstacles for officers. Especially during these conditions, officers remain disciplined in complying with health protocols in collecting data in the field. Wearing a mask, washing hands with soap / hand sanitizer and keeping a safe distance are the most important things at the moment to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Hopefully the SKKRT implementation in the second quarter will run smoothly and finish on time. Hopefully colleagues in the field are always under the protection of Allah SWT, safeguard your health and safety. Keep up the good work ... !! Hopefully this pandemic ends soon. Aamiin (JQ)
