May 3, 2017 | BPS Activities

The Special Survey of Household Savings and Investment (SKTIR) 2017 is a household-based survey designed to obtain information on how households create savings, how much they are and how they are managed. How much households set aside their earnings through various economic activities, how much is replanted in the form of physical investment (purchases of houses, valuables and means of production), as well as financial investments (savings, deposits, and securities).

So far, households are not required to report their economic transactions to other parties (the government). The best way to get data about household sector economic transactions is to conduct this survey activity.

The purpose of this survey is to collect household income and expenditure data, household savings, household capital formation and household financial transactions.

Samples SKTIR 2017 in Rembang regency as many as 10 households, where SKTIR household sample is part of Susenas census block sample in March 2017. SKTIR sample census block is Lodan Wetan Village, Sarang District, census block 008B.

The implementation of this survey was conducted in a team of 5 enumerators and one supervisor conducted on 26 April 2017 and completed on the same day. Constraints faced during interviews with respondents is the difficulty of respondents in providing information related to household income and ownership income. This means that for the field respondents can only provide information with estimates. With the patience of the officer is also a deep probing, obstacles in SKTIR data collection can finally be resolved properly. (SR)
