COVID-19 Impact Survey on Businesses

July 20, 2020 | BPS Activities

The Covid-19 pandemic not only had an impact on public health, but affected almost all sectors of the community's economy. Government policies to reduce activities outside the home in an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19 have had a major impact. The economic sector is one of the sectors hard hit by this pandemic. Covid-19 has caused surprises in the economy, both at the level of individuals, households, micro, small, medium and large companies both on a local, national and even global scale.

The Central Statistics Agency strives to obtain information and capture the most real impacts caused by the Covid 19 pandemic from business actors by conducting a Covid-19 Impact Survey on Business Actors. This activity was carried out to determine the condition of business operators in the midst of a pandemic and also to provide input to the government to support efforts to accelerate the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia.

The survey was conducted on 17 business sectors and the sample framework was taken from SE2016. The survey was conducted online where respondents (business people) can fill out the questionnaire by accessing the link https://s.bps.go.id/survei-covid The survey filling period starts from July 15-24, 2020.

This online survey applies a health protocol, avoiding face-to-face as part of preventing the spread of Covid-19. And even if it requires face to face with the respondent directly, the officer still adheres to the health protocol.

In Rembang Regency, for probability samples consisting of 55 main companies / replacement samples / companies / business units. While the number of non-probability samples is not determined. Data collection was carried out by the KSK and overseen by the Nerwilis Staff section.

For friends of officers, remain cautious, maintain health and safety and still comply with health protocols. We hope that this survey will run smoothly and hope that the results of the survey will provide important information for the government on economic policy in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. (JQ)
