It didn't feel like the #MencatatIndonesia journey had entered the second Sunday of September, to be precise it had been 10 days since the census officers had struggled in the field to carry out field verification and identify the whereabouts of all residents door-to-door with the assistance of the SLS chairman / management.

What about the census officers themselves?
Census officers can be identified by the presence of identification in the form of an ID card, wearing a vest bearing the Census Officer on the back. In addition, officers also apply health protocols, wear masks, face shields, use hand sanitizers and apply physical distancing when meeting for interviews with respondents in anticipation of preventing the spread of Covid-19.

Of course, a struggle that is not easy for them in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic conditions which still haunts some Indonesian people, including the census officers themselves. The heat is scorching hot, and even into the night they have to keep fighting for data. The persistence, sacrifice and enthusiasm of the field officers deserve thumbs up.
