Implementation of Final Phase Surveys of Area Sampling Framework (KSA) 2017 BPS Kabupaten Rembang

It is not felt that the implementation of KSA that has been running for 4 months (May-August 2017) with the scope of Java Island has ended. For samples in Rembang Regency, 94 segment samples were conducted up to 4 stages running smoothly and completed according to the schedule set. Various obstacles that occur in the field during the implementation of KSA can be resolved properly, ranging from locations that are difficult to reach, and areas that are dangerous due to the presence of wild animals. For these constraints BPS Kabupaten Rembang has proposed replacement samples after KSA runs in the first phase. A total of 23 segment samples submitted for sample replacement and alhamdulillah all get a replacement with locations that can be reached by the officers and no harm.
Based on the results of KSA FGD (Forum Group Discussion) conducted in Surakarta on 30 August 2017 with participants are BPS RI, (Directorate of Food Crops and Binagram), Bappenas, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Central Java BPS and BPS Kab / Kota Se Surakarta Residency, that in 2018 KSA will implemented monthly with regional scope throughout Indonesia. And the 2018 KSA training plan will be implemented by the end of 2017.
In the future we are still waiting for the follow-up of BPPT together with BPS to review the results of KSA that have been implemented for 4 months. Hopefully with this method KSA can be used to estimate the area of ​​rice harvest more accurately by collecting photographs of rice plants in various phases of planting from the phase of land processing to post-harvest processing phase (one planting season). So if this method is successfully used, it can be used by the government in taking government program policy in increasing agricultural production capacity in order to realize food self-sufficiency especially regarding government rice reserve policy, rice import and rice price stabilization.
