Area Sampling Framework Survey (KSA) August 2020

In the midst of the hustle and bustle of preparations for the September 2020 Population Census, there is one activity that is no less important that is routinely carried out in the last 7 days of each month, namely the Area Sampling Frame (KSA) survey.

Even though they are still in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, our officers have not diminished their steps and enthusiasm in completing this task. As usual in this survey, officers will go to the field to observe the growth phase of rice and corn commodities in each sub-segment.

With the KSA method, it is hoped that the harvested area data will be more accurate and timely. Through the KSA observation phase information, it is also possible to know the estimated harvest for the next few months. Of course, this is very useful for the government in determining national food program policies.
