Evaluation of Harvest Area Calculation with the KSA Method

BPS of Rembang Regency held an evaluation of KSA Method of Harvesting Area Calculation in 2018. The event was held on Wednesday 12 December 2018 at the Fave Rembang Hotel starting at 08.30 WIB and attended by all KSA officers.
In this case, the Head of BPS of Rembang Regency, Henri Wagiyanto, S.Pt, M.Ec.Dev, MA gave direction and opened the event. While the material presentation was delivered by the Head of Production Statistics, Drs. Sumitro.
KSA itself is the latest BPS method in order to collect agricultural data. The KSA method used for forecasting harvest area is accurate and up to date compared to the method used previously, which is eye estimate, where the old method has disadvantages, namely the low accuracy and long time of data collection.
This KSA method uses an application that is downloaded on an Android-based cellphone and relies on GPS in retrieving observation points. So the officer can observe the conditions and photograph the land at various phases of rice plant growth at the location of the coordinates.
Hopefully with this KSA method efforts to improve food data can be done so that in the future it will produce better, more accurate and quality agricultural data. (SR)
