KSA-based tile training using the CAPI method

August 13, 2020 | BPS Activities

The ubinan survey is one of the BPS routine activities carried out to collect data on the productivity of food crops, especially the rice commodity. Starting from Subround 3 (September - December) 2018, the ubinan survey was conducted through the Area Sampling Framework (KSA) approach. KSA itself is a new method developed by BPS together with other agencies in order to improve the method of collecting harvest area data, which previously was only based on the results of eye observations (eye estimate).

To get faster, more accurate and quality results of the KSA-based ubinan survey data, starting from Sub-Round 3 of 2020, a survey of KSA-based ubinan survey data was carried out using the Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) method.

To support these activities, BPS Rembang Regency held training for CAPI ubinan officers. Taking place in the BPS hall of Rembang Regency, the training was carried out in 2 waves. 1st batch is on 13 August 2020 and 2nd batch is 14th August 2020. The number of participants is 32 people (27 people as field enumerators, 4 people as field supervisors and 1 person as supervisor and 1 person as admin). The training is carried out offline (face to face) while still applying health protocols.
The training was opened by the Head of BPS Rembang Regency, Henri Wagiyanto, S.Pt, M.Ec.Dev, MA accompanied by the Head of Production Statistics, Drs. Sumitro is also an instructor in the training.
In his remarks, he hoped that the participants would be able to absorb the training material well which could later be applied when going to the field. Keep paying attention to the quality of the ubinan data, according to the SOP and on time. Not forgetting, he also advised to always comply with health protocols when collecting data in the field. Hopefully with the training of CAPI ubinan officers, later it can accelerate the processing and evaluation of agricultural data. The hope is that the quality of the data on rice production, especially in Rembang Regency, can be maintained. (Jq)
