Focus Group Discussion (FGD) in the framework of Rembang Compilation in Figures 2019

February 28, 2019 | BPS Activities

BPS of Rembang Regency held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) in the framework of Preparing Rembang Publications in Figures 2019, Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the Regional Secretariat Hall of Rembang Regency. The event was attended by 40 participants from OPD / related institutions in the Rembang Regional Government and organic BPS in Rembang Regency. Acting as a resource person was the Head of the Rembang Regency BPS, Henri Wagiyanto, S.Pt, M.Ec.Dev, MA and the Regional Secretariat of Rembang Regency, Drs. Subakti.

The event was opened directly by Setdakab Rembang, Drs. Subakti. In his speech, he strongly supported and appreciated the BPS of Rembang Regency, which had facilitated this FGD event together with the OPD / related agencies in improving Rembang's data in Figures 2019. He also said that the data was very important in a development plan, as a control device evaluation and basic government policies. He expected all OPDs / related agencies to assist BPS in preparing sectoral data needed by BPS in preparing the Rembang publication in 2019 so that in the future the publications presented could be used as the main reference / reference for local governments in making decisions and other data users. Given that BPS has a basic task in preparing basic data. This is done of course in order to build a better Rembang through accurate data. Furthermore, Mr. Henri Wagiyanto in his presentation explained the importance of data. Development of an area will not succeed without data. Development without being supported by good data availability, of course the policies taken will be less precise. Then it needs to be understood together that data in development has a very strategic function. Accurate data when used in planning formulation will certainly produce a development plan that is right on target. Development planning that is right on target requires data that is quality, accurate, complete, relevant, continuous and up-to-date.

The FGD was aimed at improving the quality and preparation of the preparation of the Rembang publication in 2019. The FGD was conducted with the group method which was divided based on the OPD / related institutions guided by 2 people from the organic BPS of Rembang Regency. This division of groups is intended to accommodate and identify problems in sectoral data from OPD / related agencies such as unsustainable data availability issues, data entry beyond the time limit of data collection, extreme data changes, and data consistency issues.

He hoped that through this FGD OPD / related agencies could sit together with BPS of Rembang Regency discussing the problems and constraints in Rembang data collection in numbers. The hope is that this focused discussion will yield useful results and information for BPS in efforts to improve the quality of Rembang's data in the numbers to be published. Hopefully this meeting is useful for better development of Rembang. (SR)
