January 31, 2020 | BPS Activities
Every towards the end of the month, exactly the last seven days of each month, BPS districts / cities throughout Indonesia carry out a routine survey of the production section, namely the Area Sample Framework Survey (KSA) which is a collaboration between BPS and BPPT.
The Area Sample Framework Survey (KSA) aims to calculate the estimated harvested area for rice and secondary crops (maize). Estimated harvested area with the productivity of these commodities which will be the production figures for rice and secondary crops (maize). The production figures produced through the KSA approach in calculating the harvested area will be a reference for improving the production figures that have been produced through the eye estimate approach.
In January the officers again observed and conducted land photography in various phases of plant growth (rice and corn) at the coordinates location. In Rembang Regency itself there was a significant phase change from the previous phases. This is because there is an intense season of worship in Rembang, although it has not been evenly distributed so that there are still drought-prone lands. The changes in this phase mostly from the non-rice paddy phase change to the initial vegetative phase.
Hopefully the data generated through this KSA method can bring about changes in accurate agricultural data improvements, which can later be used by the government in planning national food security programs. (jq)
